Our Story

For over three decades, Hope Ministry Center has been blessed to minister and serve the Casey County community. We look forward to what the future holds. Here is our story.

Humble Beginnings

Hope Ministries was founded by Ron and Rhonda Robinson in 1990. They felt God’s calling to open a church in the Casey County community. The church, named Fellowship of Hope, opened in a storefront building in downtown Liberty.

Building Project

In 2003, the church sought guidance from the Lord and made the decision to build a new sanctuary. The church purchased property on Caney Fork Road in Casey County. The church decided to save money and build “as we go” to reduce the debt that the church would incur. The building project began in 2004 when land excavation and initial building commenced. During this time, the church relocated to the historic White Oak Union Church building on Highway 1547. Serviced continued there until 2007 when the downstairs sanctuary became suitable to house services. The downstairs sanctuary (and future fellowship hall) was completed and dedicated in 2010. The church became known as Hope Ministry Center. The upstairs sanctuary was completed and dedicated in 2023.

Although we appreciate the beautiful property and building God has blessed us with, we are most thankful for the opportunities we’ve had to serve people in our community throughout the years. It is true: You never go wrong investing in people. We are grateful for the opportunities we’ve had to help families, take part in community service projects, and other outreach efforts to spread the hope of Jesus Christ.

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”

Philippians 1:6
